Odin’s Wisdom collects nothing about you. There is no account, no sign-in, and no profile. Your progress and everything you write stays on your own device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage.
There is exactly one thing our server ever holds, and only if you choose to send a flock invite: a block of encrypted data that we cannot read. The key that opens it never reaches us. Details below, because a claim like that deserves an explanation rather than a slogan.
Nothing. The app does not ask for your name, your email address, your contacts, your location, or any other personal information. There is no registration and no login, so there is no account for us to hold.
Your progress — which questions you have answered, which you got right, and your ranking — is stored on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, a copy is also kept in your own private iCloud key-value storage so that your progress survives a new phone. That storage belongs to your Apple Account. Apple does not give us access to it, and we cannot read it.
The same is true of the flocks you create in Family & Friends: the people in them, and the questions you write. They are yours, they live on your device and in your own iCloud, and we never see them.
When you invite someone to a flock, three things happen on your phone, in this order:
#, the key.That last detail is the one that matters. Everything after the # in a web address is called the fragment, and browsers and apps never transmit it to the server. So the key exists on your phone, in the message you send, and on the phone of whoever you send it to. It has never been anywhere near us. Our server holds something it cannot open, and could not open if it were asked to, because it does not have and has never had the other half.
We do not know whose flock a given code belongs to, who sent it, or who opened it. No name, device identifier, or account is stored alongside it, and nothing connects one upload to another.
Invites expire automatically after 180 days, after which the encrypted block is deleted and the link stops working. Send a new invite and a new one is created.
If you never invite anyone, nothing about your flock ever leaves your phone.
The app checks whether the trivia question file has been corrected, and downloads it if so. This is how a factual error in a question gets fixed without waiting for an app update. No information about you or your device is sent with that request, and the app works normally with no internet connection.
Like any request for a file on the web, requests to our site reach our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify or profile players.
This website — not the app — counts page visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page you looked at, the site you arrived from, and the general details every browser sends anyway: country, browser, and device type. It does not follow you to other websites, does not build a profile of you, and none of it is combined with anything else. We use it to know whether anyone is reading this, and for nothing further.
The one-time purchase that unlocks Family & Friends is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, your card, or your Apple Account. Apple provides us with aggregate sales figures, which do not identify individual buyers.
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Your data is in your hands. To clear your progress, use Reset progress on the stats screen. To remove a flock, press and hold it in the flock list. To remove everything, delete the app; to also remove the iCloud copy, turn off iCloud for Odin’s Wisdom in your device’s iCloud settings.
An invite you have already sent expires on its own after 180 days. If you would like one removed sooner, email us the code from the link — the eight characters after ?c= — and we will delete it. We cannot tell you what is in it, only remove it.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
